Director VV Vinayak announces Rs. 5 lakhs donation to help the poor artists and technicians of the Telugu film industry
After Nithiin and others from the movie industry, director VV Vinayak has now donated an amount of 5 lakh rupees to the poor families in the film industry which is a nice gesture.
The lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic has severely affected the film industry. There are no shoots going on for the last ten days. Many artists and technicians in the industry survive on their daily wages. Due to this lockdown, they have no source of income now. To support them, the industry bigwigs are announcing donations. The latest entrant into the list is director VV Vinayak. The ace filmmaker donated a total of Rs. 5 lakhs towards the supply of essential goods for the poor artists and technicians of the Telugu film industry.
VV Vinayak announced the news through a video. In the clip, He said, "Due to the current shut down of the industry, poor artists and technicians suffer a lot. Be it actors, technicians, dancers or fighters. They all are suffering a lot due to the current lockdown. To support them, I am donating Rs. 5 lakhs towards supplying their essential goods and groceries. I am sending the cheque right away. People who are in the need of support can contact Kadambari Kiran Garu".
A couple of days back, actor Nithiin donated Rs. 10 lakhs each to both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments for buying the necessary medical supplies and equipment. Many other celebrities are also doing their bit to support the government and the people in need.
On the career front, VV Vinayak's last directorial film was Intelligent. He is actually supposed to make his acting debut with the film Seenayya. But apparently, this film got shelved due to some internal issues.
