Director Shankar Shares Update About ‘Indian 2’ At 'Ponniyin Selvan' Trailer Launch
Shankar has let fans know that first shooting schedule has concluded for ‘Indian 2.’ He also informed that Kamal Haasan will soon be joining the sets and will start shooting for his parts from the third week of September.
The historical epic drama 'Ponniyin Selvan' is slated to be released in theatres on September 30, and the audio and trailer premiere was conducted on September 6. Mani Ratnam directed the film, which stars Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya in the key roles. Many members of the film industry attended the event, including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, director Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Siddharth, and Aditi Rao Hydari.
Director Shankar noted at the trailer presentation event that Mani Ratnam has always been an inspiration to him when it comes to working. He stated, "Mani Ratnam was the first to produce a pan-Indian picture and one of the first directors to create a masterpiece. Whether it was his sets for 'Thalapathi,' 'Nayagan,' or 'Bombay,' the visuals always spoke for themselves. He is my inspiration for making a fantastic film."
When fans inquired for an 'Indian 2' update, Shankar stated that the first schedule had been done. "Our first shooting schedule was concluded just yesterday (September 5). Kamal Haasan will shortly join the sets and begin filming for his portions in the third week of this month "Shankar said.
The ceremony was also attended by actors Parthiban, Kishore, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Sobhita Dhulipala, who play major characters in the film 'Ponniyin Selvan.'
