Dino Morea Drew Inspiration From Black Panthers For The Empire. Read Story

Directed by Mitakshara Kumar, The Empire is adapted from Bhavani Iyer's work. The web series was released on Disney+ Hotstar on August 27. Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment has joined hands with Disney+ Hotstar for The Empire. It is a fictional story of a warrior turned king. The series shows Kunal Kapoor playing the lead role. The series is based on Alex Rutherford's novel Moghul: Raiders from the North. The story follows a young king, who has to fight the enemies while having to survive.

Dino Morea, in a statement, said, "I tried to approach new learning from the past couple of years where I try to associate the character with an animal. We associated Shabani Khan with Black Panther and I actually watched a lot of videos on black panthers and observed just their movements, the way they are, their prowl, that really helps in your game, in your walk, in your talk, in your cunningness and brings a little growl in the voice. I am a ‘switch on-switch off’ actor. I do sink my teeth into the character. But there are certain habits you imbibe while you shoot that continue staying with you because they are interesting and nice.”
