It looks as though producer Dil Raju is taking a huge risk by releasing Vijay's Vaarasudu for Sankranthi, as there are two major Telugu releases at the same.
Popular producer Dil Raju is making his Kollywood debut with Tamil actor Vijay's upcoming film Vaarasudu. The film is directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The film is all set to be released for Sankranthi all over India, on January 11th. The film's Telugu release has been controversial, as there are two major Telugu films ready to release at the same time. Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya, directed by Bobby Kolli; and Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy, directed by Gopichand Malineni, are set to be released at the same time.
Considering that, it is being said that Dil Raju is taking a major risk by deciding to release Vaarasudu at the same time. This is because Vijay's film may not be able to go against Chiru and Balayya's films. The producer might end up in losses, and releasing the film for Sankranthi might decrease the number of theatres for Chiru and Balayya.
Despite the controversies, Dil Raju has decided to release the film for Sankranthi. Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady in this film. The film also features a huge ensemble cast. The trailer of the film was released recently and managed to create a good buzz. The Tamil version of the film, Varisu, is especially carrying a massive buzz.
