Dil Raju, a successful Tollywood producer, lambasted a segment of the media for alleging his role in the postponement of Nikhil's popular film 'Karthikeya 2' by not providing him with the necessary theatres and release date. Today, he attended the 'Karthikeya 2' success meet and spoke openly about the allegations leveled against him by a section of the media.
He allegedly stated that he loves movies more than anything else in his life, which is why he never wants to hurry through a film and gets frustrated in theatres. He just desired to fit a sufficient number of screens for each film that is released, which is only doable with appropriate release preparation.
He had planned to release 'Thank You on July 8, but it was pushed back to July 22 owing to a few unexpected circumstances. While Nikhil's 'Karthikeya 2' was originally scheduled to be released on August 22, it was delayed due to the cancellation of the Tamil dubbed film 'Cobra'.
He allegedly stated that all he asked was for the filmmakers of 'Karthikeya 2' to consider the flexibility with release dates. They replied positively to his advice, and all was fine with the outcome. However, the media has published countless absurd stories about him, which he has advised them to investigate thoroughly before publishing or to simply shut up.
He also stated that he had known actor Nikhil from his 'Happy Days' days. And 'Karthikeya 2' director Chandoo Mondeti had also worked with him, so they were well acquainted. He underlined that he would never postpone 'Karthikeya 2' for his own profit. Nonetheless, He simply requested that they explore flexible dates because a few other films had just been released.
