The story of the film is set in the background of a village on the edge of the forest. It is reported that the actor will be playing a very different character from the ones Dhyan has played so far in films. The film is being produced by Cecil Ajesh and Nirmala Binumampally. This is under the banner of Alvin Dream Production Team Nine Productions.
Apart from Dhyan Srinivasan, Chaitanya Prakash, Sudhir Paravoor, Binu Adimali, and others are playing other important roles in the film. Athiru has been written by Altaf MA and Ajith P. Suresh.
