Adding to the list of celebrity couples who are pledging support to the Coronavirus relief funds are Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. On Saturday, Deepika and Ranveer issued an official statement on their social media citing the details of their contribution. Even though the couple did not disclose the amount of donation, they revealed their contribution to the PM's CARE fund.
The statement read, “ In times like these, every bit counts. We humbly pledge to contribute to the PM-CARES FUND and hope that you will too. We’ re all in this together, and we shall overcome. Jai Hind. Deepika and Ranveer.”
Before DeepVeer, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma pledged their support. They shared, “ Virat and I are pledging our support towards the PM-CARES Fund & the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra). Our hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many & we hope our contribution, in some way, helps to ease the pain of our fellow citizens #IndiaFightsCorona.”
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are very active on their social media accounts lately. They post adorable pictures of each other as they enjoy their quarantine time together at their home. Apart from the couple, there are other celebrity couples who pledged. Others in the list include Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja and Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan. The number of cases of COVID-19 is increasing rapidly in India. There are more than two thousand cases in India till now. The situation of lockdown is still active in the country and no one knows how soon the situations are going to get better.
