Creators Of 'Shaakuntalam' Release First Look Poster To Celebrate Lead Star Dev Mohan's Birthday

The makers of 'Shaakuntalam' unveiled the first look of actor Dev Mohan as King Dushyant on Sunday. Samantha Ruth Prabhu will play the titular role in the upcoming mythological drama directed by Gunasekhar.

Samantha's first look from 'Shaakuntalam' debuted in February of this year and wowed viewers. The film is based on Kalidasa's popular Indian play Shakuntala and is produced by Neelima Guna under the banner of Gunaa Teamworks.

Gunasekhar describes the film as his "dream project," and it stars Mohan Babu, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj, Gautami, Madhoo, Kabir Bedi, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Allu Arha. Each department in the film is managed by the best in the business. The music for this film is composed by Mani Sharma, and the cinematography is by Sekhar V. Joseph. Mani Ratnam's trusted editor Sreekar Prasad Prawin Pudi is in charge of art, while Ashok Kumar is in charge of editing. Meanwhile, Samantha's 'Yashoda' teaser was recently released, and the teaser has fans excited. Aside from Samantha, the Pan-Indian film also stars Unni Mukundan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in key roles. Music is by Mani Sharma, and cinematography is by Sukumar. The film is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner Sridevi Movies.
