The outbreak of Covid-19 aka Coronavirus has led to a worldwide shut down of public places. There are various events and festivals that aren't happening anymore. In India itself, the state governments of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka have ordered the shut down of various schools, colleges, institutions, cinema houses, etc. Even the IT firms have ordered their employees to work from homes. People are advised to not be around crowded places. After all these revolutionary measures that are being taken, we also cannot ignore the amount of loss some of the industries have to suffer. The Tollywood industry, for instance, will suffer a huge loss due to the shut down of cinema theatres in the states. According to industry research by Care ratings, if this shut down of movie theatres goes on for around a month-long, the total loss the industry will have to suffer will be Rs.3500-4500 crores. The movies which were waiting to release and even the ones that hit the theatres a week ago are facing huge losses. Talking to TNM, the Telugu film Chamber Secretary KL Damodar said.
