The lockdown came as a surprise to most people. People scattered around the country could not go back home immediately. Hence, a large number of people are spending the lockdown away from their families. One such person is actor Jackie Shroff. The actor recently shared a video with the caption, " Stay Home Stay Safe in lockdown bhidus.”
In the video, Shroff talks about the lockdown and advises people to stay put indoors. He says, “It's your duty to obey the rules of the lockdown, do it for your child, think about your family. Stay at home. I think you all should be staying home, take it easy, do pranayama. Consume mustard oil, salt and turmeric at home. Look into the eyes of your mother, your wife, your kid, your lover or whosoever you love. Listen to your heart, if you plan to go out, you end up taking tension and giving tension to your family. Sudhar jao. Even God is relaxing above. Breathe a bit, just relax at home.”
Jackie Shroff is staying away from his family. He is currently residing in a home somewhere in between Mumbai and Pune. His family, on the other hand, is residing in their Mumbai home. His wife Aisha, his son Tiger and his daughter Krishna are in Mumbai. The actor has said that he tried to get a travel pass to go back to Mumbai to be with his family. However, he says that he changed his mind as he did not want to violate the lockdown guidelines and is now determined to stay put. He requests everyone to do the same and stay indoors.
The actor has also advised people to contribute to help those in need. He says, “I wholeheartedly support this noble initiative. Happy to contribute to this humanitarian cause. While staying safe at home I urge everyone else also to contribute online.” The actor has himself contributed to help daily wage workers.
