Kantara is a film that has caught the imagination of many. The manner in which it is making money at the Telugu box office has shocked one and all. Seeing its craze, the makers, Hombale Films and Allu Aravind have added a few screens for this film in the days to come in the small towns of AP and Telangana.
For the last few days, social media is abuzz with the news that megastar Chiranjeevi has watched the film and loved it so much that he has decided to reamde it and also bought the remake rights from the makers, Hombale Films. This news is spread like wildfire on the set.
We got in touch with a key person in the mega camp and he laughed off the rumors and said that it is the weirdest rumor he has heard and megastar Chiranjeevi is in no such plans as of now. He is busy with his own films and is in no mood to sign new projects.
Kanatara is a pure Kannada film with local flavor and cannot be remade in the opinion of the team. Rishab Shetty has also told the same in many of his interviews and is also not ready to sell the rights of the films in the days to come. Hombale Films produced this film on a budget of just 10 crores and the profit they have made with this film is huge.
