Telugu OTT platform has set the foot on the gas pedal. Now, they have reportedly made another big acquisition and this could very well be the biggest one of the lot. Apparently, Aha has acquired the post-theatrical digital rights of Varun Tej’s boxing-based sports drama Ghani for a whopping price. They have shelled out as much as Rs 24 crores for the rights of the film. The noted platform recently acquired the post-theatrical digital rights of Naga Chaitanya’s Love Story and Akhil Akkineni’s Most Eligible Bachelor.
Ghani is billed to be an intense sports drama and it features Varun Tej, Saiee Manjrekar, and Kannada star Upendra in the lead role. The film is carrying positive reverberations and that could be the reason why Aha spent a bomb on the digital rights of the film.
