'Brahmastra' Pre-release Event Allegedly Cancelled Bue To No Permission From Local Government

The 'Brahmastra' pre-release event was cancelled due to a lack of permission from the local government. The crowds gathered at the venue are also being cleared by local police. The producers are now planning a press conference at a hotel in Hyderabad. The film will be presented to the southern audience by ace director SS.Rajamouli, with JrNTR set to attend as a special guest.

Ayan Mukherji's upcoming fantasy adventure film, Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva, is written and directed by him. The film was produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, and Mukerji, who was making his film production debut. The film is divided into three parts that tell the story of Astraverse, its own cinematic universe. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni, and was shot by a team of cinematographers including V. Manikandan, Pankaj Kumar, Sudeep Chatterjee, Vikash Nowlakha, and Patrick Duroux, with music composed by Pritam and Simon Franglen. Prakash Kurup edited the film, which will be released in multiple languages across India on September 9, 2022.
