Earlier this morning, Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar has confirmed that he is working on the trilogy of Mr. India. According to the B-Town sourced, Ali is planning to rope in star hero Ranveer Singh for this iconic character.
This Mr. India will be a trilogy based on the 1987 film of the same name. But it will not be a remake or a sequel of the old film but will be a reboot based on the lead character of it. Currently, Ali Abbas Zafar is working on the script of it.
"Excited to partner with @ZeeStudios_ for an epic trilogy #MrIndia! It is a huge responsibility to carry forward an iconic character loved by everyone. Currently, working on the script, no actor has been locked till now. Once we lock the first draft of the script, casting begins!," he tweeted.
We hear that Ali is keen on signing up Ranveer as the lead in it. He feels that Ranveer's stardom, comic antics, and fit physique will suit the role of Mr. India. Anyways, we will get an official confirmation on it only when the script gets locked. This Mr. India franchisee is being bankrolled by Zee Studios. Watch this space for more updates on it.
