Best Actor Shivaji Guruvayoor, Actress Ashwathi Srikanth; 29th State Television Awards Announced

Kerala Government announced the 29th State Television Awards. The Television awards were announced by Culture Minister Saji Cherian.

While Shivaji Guruvayoor was adjudged Best Actor, Ashwathy Srikanth bagged the Best Actress award. Ashwathy won the award for her performance in the serial 'Chakkappazham'. 'Chakkappazham is a serial telecast on the Flowers channel. Shivaji Guruvayoor won the Best Actor award for the serial 'Kathayariyathe'. Babu Ramachandran, the presenter of 'Vallattoru Katha' received the best presenter award. Rafi won the second-best actor while Shalu Kurian of 'Aksharathettu' bagged the second-best actress. Rafi got the prize for his role in the television series Chakkappazham.' This year too, 'Marimayam' from Mazhavil Manorama won the award for Best Comedy show. Salim Hassan received a Special Mention for Best Comedian for his role in ‘Marimayam.’ Gauri Meenakshi received the Best Child Actress award for the Doordarshan series 'Orithal'. Rajshree Warrier won the Best Performance Award for Doordarshan's 'Soumyam, Sreetvam, Bhavadvayam'. K R Gopi Krishnan received the Award for Best Interviewer. News 18's Renuja N G received the award for Best News Presenter. Anoop acquired the Best Commentator Award. The award was given to the program ‘Paattukalkk Koodorukkiy Aal.’ Nandakumar Thottal's 'The Sea of Ecstasy' won the award for Best Documentary. Jayji Mathew of Manorama News won the award for Best News Camera. There will be no awards in the children's serial and story serial categories this time.
