Baahubali producer Shobhu Yarlagadda raises his voice against fake collection reports

These days, the collection details of the films are losing transparency, and the makers are pumping up the numbers to showcase their film as a super-hit. There are a few producers who are also opposing this idea. Baahubali maker Shobu and Uri producer Ronnie Screwvala raised their voice against this culture on social media.

Ronnie tweeted the other day, saying, “Isn’t it time everyone reports Box Office numbers accurately! @KomalNahta @taran_adarsh... accuracy of information builds CREDIBILITY which the movie industry needs so badly ... and not sure how long to appease egos will Studios and all keep encouraging pumped up data on numbers.” “Just to clarify that my tweet was not directed at anyone movie (as is being wrongly assumed) but just an overall comment for the future + my reasons to tag some industry authorities was because they can make a difference to the credibility - happy Diwali,” he further added.

By quoting Ronnie’s tweet, Shobu wrote, “I think it’s time all exhibitors report to a transparent and independent tracking and reporting agency like everywhere else in the world! Along with that, ticket pricing should be free of Govt. price controls! Let markets decide the fair price!”
