The star is now busy promoting his latest film, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
Khuranna's latest film at the box office deals with discrimination that LGBTQ people face in the country. Khuranna stars in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan as a gay man with co-star Jitendra Kumar.
In a recent interview Khuranna said that the film needed to be a commercial flick. The actor said that the film targeted at every average Indian homophobe. "Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is about empathy. And, the target audience of our film is an average Indian homophobe. If we over intellectualise it or over emotionalise it then the film won't reach out to a wider audience. This movie is a stepping stone to those kinds of films where two homosexuals will act in a pure emotional love story. But this is not that movie, " he added.
Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan based on a real life love story between two gay men. The film celebrates the diversity in sexualiy. It will be interesting to see how the Indian audience received Khuranna's latest film. The film scheduled to release across the country on February 21.
