Shah Rukh Khan fans have received some wonderful news from Brahmastra filmmaker Ayan Mukerji. Fans and the internet as a whole were left wanting more of King Khan's role from the massive fantasy epic after his brief cameo as Mohan Bharghav, a scientist who wielded Vanar Astra. Since his 2018 film Zero, the actor hasn't appeared in a full-length feature film, therefore the audience's reaction to his appearance in the Dharma movie was overwhelmingly positive.
Speaking to the Indian Express, Ayan revealed that in addition to Shah Rukh Khan's fans, the film's producers have been considering a spin-off for his character. The concept actually came up as they were filming the sequence. Ayan made a joke about how the spin-off may describe the scientist's origins. Fan ideas about the actor's involvement in Brahmastra have included his potential reappearance in the follow-up. Fans have asked the director to produce a sequel to Mohan Bhargav from Brahmastra.
When asked about the demands of the fans for a spin-off, which include an internet petition, Ayan responded,“Before the fans were saying it, we were also saying that ourselves. When we were shooting the sequence in 2019, we were also saying on sets. As we discovered the personality of the scientist, we said, ‘Yaar, we have to do stuff. We have to do the origins story of the scientist!'”
The director stated that his crew supported the notion that Shah Rukh Khan's character shouldn't be constrained to a cameo in a single movie. “We were also vibing on that frequency, my assistants and I. So, I guess my response to the spin-off demand is that: We are already thinking about it. We are hearing everything and are planning our next moves”, he added.
Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna, all play significant parts in Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva. Along with SRK, Deepika Padukone made a cameo appearance in the movie. The science fiction movie, which debuted in theaters on September 9, is doing well at the box office.
