Avakai Biryani hero Kamal Kamaraju opens up on safety measures on film's sets, after Indian 2 mishap

Indian 2 mishap is something that shook the entire film fraternity. A lot of actors and technicians have opened up about the standards and measures that are usually followed on the sets while shooting a film. Whatever it is, one thing is true that we don't follow enough safety measures while working on the sets. Kamal Kamaraju, one of the popular Telugu actors too opened up on the same and explained the reality.

"Most of the productions don't follow any safety standards. Neither is it mandatory for anyone to wear gloves who operate equipment nor are there schools who certify the stuntmen. I have never seen anyone consulting a structural engineer for the strength of any massive sets that we erect. We are all collectively responsible for not raising the voice and this, in turn, translates into such accidents. The governing bodies don't make such rules as it means economy. This is happening in various fields including construction and events to sports.

Standard operating procedures should be strictly adhered and not overlooked. I just wish and hope that these incidents are eye-openers for all of us, of what can be in store for us while we are shooting in such conditions and this don't become another social media outrage. The film councils should have a safety department which issues a go-ahead or reports any such malpractices. We should ashamed that safety is on somebody's charity." he posted on his Facebook wall.

Kamal acted in the films like Arjun Reddy, Maharshi and a few others, in the recent past.
