Atlee's next film with Shah Rukh Khan firmed up

Atlee, who worked as an assistant director to Shankar, is just a few film's old in Tamil cinema. He made his debut with Arya and Nayanthara's Raja Rani and then went on to collaborate with Thalapathy Vijay in three films, namely, Theri, Mersal and Bigil. Meanwhile, there have been rumours doing the rounds for the past 2 years that Atlee is all set to make his debut in Bollywood by directing a film with actor Shah Rukh Khan. Even though Atlee and Shah Rukh have met several times in the past few years, an official announcement regarding their collaboration is yet to happen. Now, it looks their film is firmed up.

Shah Rukh Khan was on a two year break after his film Zero didn't do well at the box office. He is presently shooting for Pathan under the direction of Siddharth Anand. He will act with Deepika Padukone in the film. After this film, Shah Rukh Khan will shoot for Atlee's film. If reports are to be believed, their film will begin sometime in August 2021. Meanwhile, rumours suggest that Atlee is also in consideration to do a film with actor Vijay. Soon, Shah Rukh Khan might announce his next film with Atlee in the coming months.
