At First, I Was Sceptical When He Heard Such A Story, Anoop Menon Opens Up.

Screenwriter Anoop Menon said that the film Beautiful was an untried event in Malayalam cinema till date. He spoke about this during an interview with Kaumudi Movies. “In "Beautiful," an event that has not been tried in Malayalam cinema till date was tried. The heroine who came singing a romantic song turns into a villain. No one who listens to the song Mazhanirtulli can even imagine that Meghana will be a villain. At first, I was sceptical when he heard such a story. But with the support of director VKP and Jayasuriya, such an experimental film is coming. In the film, the main heroine is made a villain. That too is identified as Villain in a single dialogue,” said Anoop Menon.

It was a scene that really shocked the audience. But he also said that it was 100 percent successful. Anoop added that often, when he remembers the climax of the movie, he can feel at what time that song was written.

Anoop Menon’s last film was Padma. Directed by Anoop himself, the film starred Anoop Menon and Surabhi lakshmi in the lead roles. The film received mixed response from the audience. Produced under the banner of Anoop Menon Stories, Padma also stars Shankar Ramakrishnan, Anwar Sharif, Ambi, Marina Michael, Mala Parvathy, and Shruti Rajinikanth in the lead roles. And there are about twenty new faces. The lyrics are by Anoop Menon and Doctor Sukesh and were composed by Ninoy Varghese.
