Ashok Selvan is starring in an unnamed romantic comedy with three heroines! Megha Akash, Karthika Muralidharan from Malayalam, and Chandini Chowdary from Tollywood will play the female roles in the film, which will be directed by CS Karthikeyan, who has previously worked with Kamal Haasan on Vishwaroopam and Vishwaroopam 2.
"The film will focus around the protagonist's school, college, and post-college periods," the filmmaker says. “This is a rom-com, not a coming-of-age story." He said the three starring females will appear in each phase, and Megha's involvement will be a "surprise package."
"I wanted an actor who is appreciated by everyone and who can pull off all the stages of the protagonist — schoolboy, college-goer, and an out-of-college young man," he says of selecting Ashok Selvan. And Ashok Selvan was the perfect fit. The part required an actor with a sense of comedy, which Ashok possesses in spades." While the actor shed weight to portray a Class 12 student, the director also included a few minor alterations to his appearance to make him slightly different in the three periods in which the drama takes place.
Karthikeyan has hired three cinematographers to shoot the three parts of the film: famous cinematographer M Balasubramaniam, his assistant Dinesh Purushothaman, and Prabu Rhagav, who worked on the yet-to-be-released Pizza 3. The composer for this film is Leon James, who also composed the music for Oh My Kadavule.
