The making-of video for Pa Ranjith's smash hit 'Sarpatta Parambarai' has been released on Twitter. The film was one year old when it was released. The boxing drama 'Sarpatta Paramabarai' starred Arya, Pasupathi, Kalaiarasan, Dushara Vijayan, John Vijay, and Santhosh Prathap, among others. Following its premiere on the OTT platform, the film was critically appreciated and received excellent reviews. Because of the nation's pandemic lockdown, the film did not have a cinema release.
To commemorate the film's first anniversary, the making video transports viewers to the 1970s, when the story is set and depicts the two prominent boxing clans, Sarpatta and Idiyappa Paramabarai.
‘Sarpatta Parambarai’ was loosely based on the storyline set in the 1970s, and the importance people gave to the sport of boxing in North Madras. The movie paved the way for many artists to develop their careers in the film industry.
Apart from ‘Sarpatta Paramabarai’, which was released in 2021, Pa Ranjith is also celebrating the sixth anniversary of the film ‘Kabali’, which featured Rajinikanth in the lead role.
Pa Ranjith is now anticipating the release of his film 'Natchathiram Nagargiradhu,' which stars Kalidas Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan. In August, he will begin filming for the untitled 'Chiyaan 61' alongside actor Vikram. Pa Ranjith is also working on a film with Kamal Haasan called 'Vettuvam.'
