Arya's Movie Sarpatta To Release On OTT On July 22

Director Pa Ranjith is one of the most important filmmakers in the Tamil cinema industry right now. From bringing Dalit politics to sparking a conversation about land politics, Pa Ranjith has been successful in doing so. He announced his upcoming film Sarpatta Parambarai two years ago and has been shooting with actor Arya.

The film was supposed to happen with actor Suriya. Due to unforeseen reasons, the film with Suriya didn't happen. The filming of Sarpatta was wrapped up early this year. However, Sarpatta couldn't release in theatres due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The makers took stock of the situation and decided to sell the streaming rights to Amazon Prime Video. Sarpatta will stream on Amazon Prime Video on July 22, the makers announced with a new poster. Pa Ranjith took to Twitter
