Aryan Khan was sent to the Arthur Road prison in Mumbai on Friday. This is after the court denied bail for him and other accused in the luxury cruise drug case. Aryan is the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and interior designer Gauri Khan.
According to a police official who spoke to PTI, other men caught in the case were also sent to the same jail. Meanwhile, two women involved in the crime, including Munmun Dhamecha, were taken to the Byculla women's prison.
Now, a video of Gouri, Aryan's mom crying after the judgment is going viral on social media. In the video, Aryan stays calm. Meanwhile, Gouri has covered her face weeping in response to the judgment.
Mumbai court had denied the bail plea of Aryan Khan, on the luxury cruise drug case. The court also rejected the pleas of Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, and other suspects. Gouri’s video went viral after the verdict.
Earlier, NCB's director Sameer Wankhede said that their case is strong enough. He added that they will continue with the case and present the same in court. "We and the prosecution will attempt that the case will go to a logical conclusion. Our case is strong and will present the same in the court;” said Sameer Wankhede.
Meanwhile, his father Shah Rukh Khan appears to have canceled all his professional obligations. Reportedly, the makers of "Pathan" have opted to postpone the film's work indefinitely. This includes its three-week schedule in Spain.
Aside from that, SRK has postponed filming Atlee's next film in a hospital in South Mumbai. Shah Rukh Khan will return to the sets only after resolving the Aryan Khan situation.
