Aranyak, a movie starring Raveena Tendon, was made available on Netflix's OTT streaming service. It was telecasted in December 2021. The show was filmed in the fictional Himachal Pradesh town of Sironah. It featured two morally upright police officers as they struggled with personal issues. They looking for the person handles for the suspected rape and murder of a teenage girl. After its debut, Aranyak earned overwhelmingly favorable reviews from everyone. Bollywood Hungama has since learned that Aranyak's second season has been canceled by Netflix India.
If what Bollywood Hungama heard is accurate, Netflix's decision to axe Aranyak season 2 due to its ROI is being considered. A reliable source informs, “OTT platforms have become even more stringent about what content they feature. Netflix is no stranger to this. This is a conscious effort in driving more content-driven shows and films that will connect with the audience.” The source further added “This isn’t the first show that Netflix has canceled. Earlier the streaming giant had dropped the second season of the Madhuri Dixit starrer The Fame Game as well. In both cases, apparently, Netflix was not happy with the story, script, as well as ROI. It also decided on forgoing development of the second seasons.”
Even if the show has been temporarily canceled, it's interesting to consider that the creators of Aranyak have the opportunity to review. It can also revise the second season's material. In this situation, Netflix might re-list the show and approve the second season. But as things stand, Aranyak won't be making a season two comeback any time soon.
