AR Rahman Wraps Up Sound Mixing For Mani Ratnam's Magnum Opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’
AR Rahman has wrapped up the sound mixing for ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ in Los Angeles. The Mani Ratnam film will feature a heavyweight cast of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai.
The next big film release in Tamil of the year is director Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. It is set for a pan-India release on September 30 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film stars Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles. It also has Prakash Raj, Parthiban, Sarathkumar, Nasser, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi as part of its cast, playing important roles.
The film's trailer and first track have already been released, and fans have responded well. There is a new update on 'Ponniyin Selvan's' music work. AR Rahman composed the film's music, and it has now been revealed that the music mix for 'Ponniyin Selvan' in Dolby Atmos has been completed.
Greg Townley, a sound designer, disclosed this knowledge by posting a photo of himself from the studio. He captioned it: “Just wrapped mixing the music for a film with AR Rahman in Atmos @arrahman.”
The first track from the film, named 'Ponni Nadhi,' was released last week to positive reviews. The next song from the film is planned to release in the third week of August.
