Aparna Balamurali celebrated her birthday on the sets of Kaappa, the new film in which she is the heroine. Yesterday was Aparna's birthday. After knowing that it was Aparna's birthday, a simple celebration was organised under the leadership of producers Jinu V. Abraham and Dolvin. Along with the cutting of the cake, a feast was also arranged on the sets. The celebrations were held in a large bungalow near the Shankhumugham pier. The shooting of the movie has gone on here for the past few days.
Aparna is Prithviraj's heroine in the film. Prithviraj will play the role of a gangster named Kota Madhu in the film. After the success of Kaduva, this is a film where Shaji Kailas and Prithviraj team up. Shaji Kailas is making a film based on GR Indugopan's novella, Shankhumukhi. Indu Gopan himself has written the screenplay. Shankhumukhi is a novella that tells the story of the invisible underworld of Thiruvananthapuram City. This is the project that was announced to be directed by Venu when the film was announced in 2021. Later, it reached Shaji Kailash.
This year, Writers Union is the first production partner in Indian films. The Writers' Union is producing the film in association with Dolwin Kuriakos' production company Theater of Dreams as part of raising funds for its members' welfare work. Jinu V. Abraham and Dileesh Nair are also the production partners. The shooting of the movie started on July 15 in Thiruvananthapuram. Manju Warrier was initially slated to replace Aparna. But due to the date issue, Manju backed out.
Asif Ali and Anna Ben are also appearing in the lead roles. About 60 other actors will play various characters. This movie belongs to the gangster drama genre.
