Anirudh Ravichander Opens Up About His Bollywood Debut Jawan

Director Atlee set a huge benchmark for himself and for directors who are aspiring to make it big. He is currently directing his Bollywood debut film with Shah Rukh Khan. Titled Jawan, the film is tipped to be a commercial entertainer. According to the first-look poster, Jawan will release in theatres on June 2, 2023, in five languages. Jawan is extremely special for South cinema as three talents from the Tamil film industry are making their B'Town debut. Along with Atlee, Lady Superstar Nayanthara and composer Anirudh Ravichander will foray into Bollywood.

Speaking about this opportunity, Anirudh, in a media interaction said, ""I am making my Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. I am really excited about it. After the pandemic and the OTT boom, it's not a question of whether it is a Tamil or Hindi film. If a song becomes a hit, it goes viral on reels and all platforms. Language barriers are being broken. My first song, Kolaveri, did that. I never had any specific dream about going to Bollywood. I grew up watching Shah Rukh sir's films and I am big fan. My brother Atlee is directing the film and he is taking us all there. So, it's going to be a great experience for all of us. I met Shah Rukh sir. With Jawan, I think I can expand my musical audience."
