Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which hit the theatres on 1st July, has been attracting praise and outstanding reviews from viewers all over the world. Musician Anirudh Ravichander took to Twitter to praise Madhavan for making the movie possible. Anirudh tweeted,

Earlier, superstar Rajanikanth had also praised Madhavan for his directorial debut. Rajinikanth posted on Twitter in Tamil, which translates to, "Madhavan, as a director in his very first movie, along with his realistic acting, has proved that he is among the finest directors, by portraying the history of Padma Bhushan Nambi Narayanan, who, for the sake of the country's space research development, had undergone several hardships and made sacrifices. My heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Madhavan for giving a film like this."
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is the biopic of Nambi Narayanan, a popular scientist, and his battle for justice, after getting charged with treason. Nambi Narayanan, a former ISRO scientist, and an aerospace engineer is profiled in the movie. He was suspected of being a spy in his prime, casting a shadow over his whole life. He struggled for justice for many years, and the film follows his life and quest. At the 75th Cannes Film Festival, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect earned outstanding acclaim. In the movie, Madhavan portrays Nambi Narayanan. Reviews and reactions to the film have been outstanding.
