On Saturday night legendary Bollywood actor
Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to reveal to his fans that he has contracted Coronavirus. The 77-year-old actor said that he is now admitted to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "I have tested Covid positive, shifted to hospital, the hospital is informing authorities. Family and staff undergone tests, results awaited. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!"

Abhishek Bachchan also revealed that he has the virus and is now admitted at Nanavati Hospital. He wrote, "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you."
Amitabh Bachchan's Mumbai bungalow is now sealed and BMC is working on sanitizing the entire building. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and Aaradhya Bachchan have all tested negative for the novel Covid-19 virus.
The senior Bachchan was recently seen in Shoojit Sircar's "Gulabo Sitabo" where he stars alongside
Ayushmann Khurrana. The film skipped a theatrical release and premiered on Amazon Prime Video. His upcoming films are "Chehre", "Jhund" and "Brahmastra". He is also scheduled to host the season 12 of the popular quiz show, "Kaun Banega Crorepati". Abhishek Bachchan on the other hand recently appeared in his debut web release titled Breathe- Into the Shadows.
