Alia Bhatt To Make Her Debut At The Met Gala On May 1st

Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is preparing to make her debut at the highly-anticipated 2023 Met Gala, which is set to take place on May 1st. The event will honor the legendary German-born fashion designer, the late Karl Lagerfeld. It is themed "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty". This year's hosts will include Spanish actor Penélope Cruz, singer Dua Lipa, Swiss tennis player Roger Federer, actor-screenwriter Michaela Coel, and Vogue's Anna Wintour, who will act as the night's official co-chairs.

Bhatt is set to appear in the upcoming Netflix film "Heart of Stone". She will wear a creation by designer Prabal Gurung at the event, according to a report by Elle India. The event will take place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It will mark the first time that Bhatt has attended the prestigious event. Several other Bollywood stars have also made their debut at the Met Gala in recent years, including Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, and Isha Ambani. Padukone made her Met Gala debut in 2017. She wore a custom-made Prabal Gurung gown for her 2018 appearance. Chopra made her first appearance at the event in 2017, wearing a Ralph Lauren gown, and returned in 2018 in another Ralph Lauren creation. In 2019, she wore an exquisite Dior Haute Couture dress that turned heads. Bhatt will next be seen in the film "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani", directed by Karan Johar, which will be released on July 28th, 2023. She will star alongside Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. She is also expected to appear in Farhan Akhtar's "Jee Le Zaraa", alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
