Ajith's Valimai to release on August 12

After Thalapathy Vijay's Master,Thala Ajith's Valimai is the next big release in Kollywood which has the capability to lure an audience to the theatres in abundance. Though the film was announced two years ago, it took some time to go on floors and was halted due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The makers resumed the shoot at Hyderabad's Ramoji Rao Film City last year and managed to wrap up the majority of the film. A fight sequence, which is to be shot in Spain is pending. Ajith and the Valimai team will head to a foreign country to shoot the high octane stunt sequence. An official announcement is awaited.

Recently, producer Boney Kapoor revealed that the film's distribution rights are being sold for high prices. It is now being reported that Valimai will release in theatres on August 12, three days ahead of Independence Day. It is learnt that the pre-release business of Valimai could easily hit the Rs 100 crore mark and can make high profits. Directed by H Vinoth, Valimai features Ajith, Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda, Raj Ayyapa, Achyuth Kumar and Sumitra in important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music of the film.
