Actress Roja's husband RK Selvamani makes shocking comments on Kollywood film celebrities regarding donations

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak and the country lockdown, one of the most affected people are the daily wage workers. Especially in the film industry, so many people who get paid on a daily basis are now struggling financially. On this note, so many Tollywood celebrities came forward and raised funds for the needy. Megastar Chiranjeevi has recently announced that he has nearly collected 8 crores. But the situation is entirely different in the Tamil film industry. Popular director and actress Roja's husband RK Selvamani has pointed out the same. He became emotional claiming that none of the actors has humanity.

"There are nearly 25000 workers in South India. And out of them, 18000 people are daily wage workers," said RK Selvamani and requested the celebrities to come forward and help them. A couple of actors from Kollywood like Suriya, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Sivakarthikeyan, Dhanush, came forward and did their part. Rajnikanth gives the highest amount of 50 lakhs whereas remaining celebrities gave 10 to 20 lakhs.

As of now, the workers have only received 1.60 crores amount, 1983 bags of rice (25 kgs each). But it is not sufficient for the workers. RK Selvamani claimed that the actors have been taking exorbitant remunerations but when it comes to the donation they have been giving only a few lakhs which is is not a good sign. We have to see if anyone from the movie industry respond to him or not.
