The coronavirus pandemic is intensifying as the days go by. Humans are not the only species suffering during the crisis. According to reports, people are abandoning their pets in fear of contagion. Actor Daggubati Venkatesh took to Twitter to educate people against it. He asks people not to give in to fear and abandon their pets in this time of crisis.

He wrote, "ANIMALS DO NO SPREAD COVID-19. These are tough times, not just for humankind but all living beings. It s really heartbreaking to read reports of people abandoning their pets with the fear that they spread the contagion. There have been more than enough reports published that prove this myth wrong. Let is not resort to losing out humanity in this process. Shower love on our animal companions as well! They must be having a ball of a time with our constant presence at home during this lockdown. Love all! In the end, we must come out of this crisis stronger than before with our furry companions."

On the work front, Venkatesh was last seen in the film Venky Mama. The film was a hit at the box office. It also starred actors Naga Chaitanya, Raashi Khanna and Payal Rajput. Venkatesh will next appear in the film Naarappa. Naarappa is the Telugu remake of the hit Tamil film Asuran. Asuran was an adaption of the novel Vekkai by Poomani. Srikanth Addala is directing the film. Apart from Venkatesh, the film will feature actors Priyamani, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma and Sampath Raj in the lead roles. Kalaippuli S. Thanu and Daggubati Suresh Babu are producing the film. The film shoot began earlier this year in January. However, the shoot now stands halted sue to the coronavirus outbreak.
