Actor Mamukkoya passed away. He was 76 years old. He died at 1.05 p.m. at a private hospital in Kozhikode. He was admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack during a public event in Vandoor. Hospital officials said the death was due to the heart attack. The body will be placed for public viewing at Kozhikode Town Hall at 3 p.m. today. The cremation will be tomorrow in Kannamparam Khazarstan.
Mamukkoya was characterised by the Kozhikode dialect and natural humour. Mamukkoya was a talent recommended for the role by talents like Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. Pallikandi means the coastal village of Kozhikode, where the Arabian Sea and the Kallaipuzha meet. Mamukkoya was born and brought up there.
