Actor Akshay Kumar doesn't require an introduction. His acting career began in 1991 with Saugandh, and it wasn't until the action movie Khiladi that he experienced his first commercial breakthrough. Recently, the first image from Kumar's upcoming movie appeared online.The actor from Bhool Bhulaiyaa may be seen in the opening shot standing in a field near Yorkshire, England. His portrayal of a Sikh figure on the big screen will be based on actual events, and the actor is set to wear the part. According to the most recent sources, Akshay would portray the lead role in the biopic about mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill from Amritsar, who saved 65 miners following the collapse of a coal mine in Raniganj, India, in 1989. In 1991, he was also given the Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak by Ramaswamy Venkataraman, the president at the time. The movie's working title is Capsule Gill. A formal announcement has not yet been made, though.
The film is being directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, who previously directed the 2016 blockbuster Rustom starring Akshay Kumar and Ileana D'Cruz. According to reports, Parineeti Chopra will portray the part of Akshay's wife in the movie. This is the pair's second on-screen pairing following their 2019 movie Kesari.
Apart from this, Akshay is getting ready for the premiere of Aanand L. Rai's Raksha Bandhana. Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, Bhumi Pednekar, Sahejmeen Kaur, and Smrithi Srikanth are also included. It is scheduled to start in theatres on August 11, 2022. The actor also has the upcoming remake of Soorarai Pottru, OMG 2 - Oh My God! 2, Selfiee, and Ram Setu.
