Aamir Khan Says His Family Was 'Almost Homeless'

The August 11 release date has been set for the upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha. The movie stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Aamir Khan Says His Family Was 'Almost Homeless'

Laal Singh Chaddha also has Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role along with Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. The movie is about to be released. Aamir Khan is preparing for it. Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios worked together to produce the movie. It is an authorized Hindi version of the Tom Hanks– led 1994 Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. He last appeared in the 2018 film Thugs Of Hindustan. He is marking his return to the big screen after a four-year absence.

 
Now, in a recent interview to promote Laal Singh Chaddha with MostlySane alias Prajakta Koli, he discussed his difficult upbringing and financial lows. Says Aamir "Many people believe that being the son of a film producer makes you wealthy. Tahir Hussain, my father, was not a successful businessman. He was a constant loss. Despite making successful movies, he was broke "Added he. Furthermore, he said that his father was always in debt and that it took him 8 years to complete his 1986 movie Locket, during which time his finances were frozen.
 
Aamir went on to say that he was good at sports and was a tennis player who was ranked in Maharashtra. He also said that he was very careful not to burden his parents financially, so when he won tournaments and received prize money, he would give it to his mother and then use the money to buy tennis shoes and a t-shirt when he needed them.  "We've been through rough times, my father has struggled a lot. We haven't been financially secure but we had a good childhood," said Aamir. Meanwhile, Laal Singh Chaddha is slated to hit the theatres on August 11, 2022.
