Fazil is a director who has given Malayalam cinema memorable movies. Now he is preparing to be active in cinema again as a producer, starting with Malayankunju. Malayankunju, which is about the horrors of landslides, has hit the theatres. A.R. Rahman composed the music for the film. Rahman's music in the film is the element that gives great hope to the audience.
Fazil talks about Rahman being a part of Malayankunju and his reward. He was participating in an interview given to Movie Man Broadcasting. He said that they had waited for Rahman for six months and he had not been paid more than he deserved.
"I saw the Malayankunju before the entire work was completed. At that time, I felt that this was a very important film for music. Especially after the interval. Mahesh Narayanan and Fahadh were thinking the same thing when I thought about it.
What suddenly came to Fahadh's mind was that it was A.R. Rahman. AR. Rahman was contacted by Fahadh through Arvind Swamy. When Fahadh spoke, as he is a good actor and as my son, he said ok. He does this work because he likes to see Malayankunju. He had said that he was very busy.
Fahadh said that he can take a Malayalam film for Rahman's reward. But he never bought more than he deserved. He is a man of international value. His songs also have that value. Therefore, you can only pay accordingly. Time should also be given.
While fixing Rahman, he told me not to ask him how long it would take. We have been waiting for Rahman for six months," Fazil said.
The film is directed by debutant Saji Mon and scripted by Mahesh Narayanan. Rajisha Vijayan is the heroine in the film.
