Arulnithi's forthcoming Tamil film 'Dejavu' will release on July 22. The film is a drama directed by newcomer Arvind Srinivasan.
In an interview with a media outlet, the filmmaker allegedly revealed that the script for 'Dejavu' was written in 2015 and that it took him four years to rewrite it after someone or his friends guessed the next scene of the film. The filmmaker intended for the entire movie to be suspenseful and intriguing.
The filmmaker noted that the film's producer agreed to do the movie even before hearing the climax and that prominent performers in the industry, including Madhoo and Achyuth Kumar, trusted him. Aravind Srinivasan mentioned in the interview that he felt more responsible once Arulnithi signed on for the project and adjusted and improved the film until the final take during the shoot.
The filmmaker allegedly stated that he had planned to create the film in many languages concurrently, but owing to the pandemic's limits, he could only complete the Tamil version with Arulnithi and the Telugu version with Naveen Chandra. He stated that the Hindi adaptation would be made shortly and that the producers had previously negotiated with Vivek Oberoi and Jackie Shroff for the film. He added that planning for the Hindi adaptation would take place once 'Dejavu' is launched in Tamil.
