Tovino Thomas has been stepping into increasingly difficult roles as part of an effort to expand his career. He will play the lead role in the movie 2018 directed by Jude Anthany Joseph. The makers have now released the project's hard-hitting teaser. It attempts to depict the true picture of Kerala's 2018 catastrophic floods and how they affected the common man. The protagonist tweeted about the preview, saying,
The video begins with an aerial view of the floors before moving on to what it takes for the average person to deal with the natural disaster. 2018 seems to be a genuine depiction of the difficulties encountered in such circumstances.
Along with others, Asif Ali, Kunchacko Boban, and Aparna Balamurali play significant roles in the movie. Under the auspices of Kavya Film Company in collaboration with P K Prime Production Producers, the project has been funded by Venu Kunnappilly, C K Padmakumar, and Anto Joseph. Chaman Chakko is the editor. Akhil George is the director of photography. The movie will debut in theatres the following year, in 2023.
Tovino Thomas will also star in Jithin Lal's Ajayante Randam Moshanam in addition to this. Kirthi Shetty plays the lead actress. The project also features Basil Joseph, Rohini, Harish Uthaman, Jagadish, Hareesh Perady, and Pramod Shetty in important roles.
The backdrops for the Pan-India film are from the 1900s, the 1950s, and the 1990s. In terms of the crew, Jomon T. John I. S. C. is in charge of the film's camerawork. Shameer Muhammed is in charge of the editing division. Ajayante Randam Moshanam's soundtrack was also composed by Dhibu Ninan.
