The 2022 edition of the Chennai International Film Festival is now going on. Over 100 movies are reportedly going to be presented during the CIFF. It is set to run from December 15 to December 22.
Ten Tamil movies will be shown out of 102 movies. "Iravin Nizhal," "Kasada Thapara," "Aadhar," "Maamanithan," "O2," "Irudhi Pakkam," "Beginning," are some of the films. "Yuddha Kaandam," "Gargi," "Natchathiram Nagargirathu," and "Kadaisi Vivasayi" are also in the 10 movies.
The Indian Panorama film section also includes the movie "Kadaisi Vivasayi." Vijay Sethupathi makes a cameo appearance in the Manikandan-directed film. It also stars Nallandi in the lead role.
The film earned a lot of positive reviews from across the world. The 75th Cannes International Film Festival featured a screening of Parthiban's "Iravin Nizhal." It is a single-shot non-linear film. The Tamil films "Natchathiram Nagargirathu" and "Gargi" received favourable reviews. Audiences and critics praised the film when they were released recently.
"Beginning" will be screened for the first time at the Chennai International Film Festival. On December 15, the movie "Beginning" released its trailer. Vinoth Kishan and Gouri G. Kishan are the stars of the movie. Beginning is directed by Jagan Vijaya. It is the first split-screen motion picture in Asia. The movie will be split-screen with two concurrent stories running side by side.
