Tamil actor Ilayathalapthy Vijay teamed up with director Vamshi Paidipally for his latest film, Varisu. The film has been released in Telugu as Vaarasudu. The Tamil version of the film released on 11th January. This is the first direct Tamil film for Vamshi Paidipally.
Ilayathalapthy Vijay is one of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema today, who enjoys a massive fanbase in the state. His every film release is like a festival for his fans. This year, the actor has come up with his latest film for the festival season itself. His film Varisu has been released for Sankranthi this year. The film has been produced by Dil Raju.
Dil Raju has made his Tamil debut with the film, and has tasted a good success with Varisu in the state. Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady of this film, for which SS Thaman has provided the music. The songs and the background score of the film have been appreciated well by the audience, and turned out to be an asset for the film as well.
Jayasudha, Sarath Kumar, Srikanth, Shaam and Prakash Raj can be seen in important roles in the film. Varisu has managed to impress the Tamil audience, but has failed to generate any buzz in the Telugu states, despite Dil Raju's many attempts. The Telugu version of the film released on the 14th, but has failed to draw any crowds to the theatres.
