Dhanush's Naane Varuven Drags Under The Ponniyin Selvan Storm; Collection Day 5

Dhanush's "Naane Varuvean," released in theatres last Thursday. After the success of "Thiruchitrambalam", Naane Varuven is his second theatrical release of the year. Selvaraghavan and Dhanush's movie received mixed reviews from critics. It saw a drop in admissions after "Ponniyin Selvan" was released on the 30th. As a result, the number of screens for the Dhanush starrer was also decreased. Naane Varuven collected around 2.75 crores worldwide. The major portion of the collection is from Tamilnadu itself. Around 2.25 crores were minted from Tamil Nadu. The total collection is almost 25 crores now. On the other hand, Ponniyin Selvan is storming on theatres with around 230 crores of total collection.

The producers of "Naane Varuven" have stated that the movie is a success. They intend to work together once more on another project. Dhanush plays a dual character in the Selvaraghavan-directed film "Naane Varuven". The film also stars Elli AvrRam and Indhuja as the female leads. With his adaptable roles as twin brothers, Dhanush further demonstrates his talent. Fans have appreciated seeing Dhanush and Selvaraghavan again. The movie is brilliantly packed with surprises. Yuvan Shankar Raja's music gives it extra force.
